This explains what Mise (run by Michael Jamieson) collects and why. Contact: michael@subsensation.com.
What we collect
- Account: name, email, and sign-in details (passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text).
- Store data you enter or upload: sales, usage, on-hand counts, orders, prep lists, shift packets (including staff names, initials and signatures), temperatures and notes.
- Technical: basic logs (time, page, errors, IP address) to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
- To run Mise for your stores: sync between devices, calculate prep and orders, send alerts you turn on.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse and fix errors.
- We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Only people with access to a store (its owner and managers they invite) can see that store's data. Service providers that host the app, database and email (for example our hosting provider and email delivery provider) process it on our behalf under their own security terms.
Emails
If a store owner turns on alerts, Mise emails the addresses they enter (for example “Shift packet not completed”). Ask the store owner, or us, to be removed.
Storage on your device
Mise keeps a working copy of store data in your browser so it works offline, plus cookies needed to keep you signed in. No advertising cookies.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep store data while the account is active. Email us to export or delete your data; we will do it within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep something.
Security
Data is sent over HTTPS and access is checked on every request. No system is perfectly secure; we will tell affected owners promptly about a breach that affects their data.
Children
Mise is for businesses and is not meant for children under 16.
Changes
We will post changes here and update the date above; big changes will be emailed to store owners.
